This was actually pretty good!! My only complaint was that the "crust" was a tad bit soggy but everything else was great! Definitely tastes like pizza. It was even good with the beef instead of pork pepperoni (only a few stores sell pork, all of which are far from me!) I was entirely too lazy to cook cloud bread, maybe tomorrow!

Jesus be a fence!
So today was not my day! After eating horribly all last week (I have very large fibroids so when Mother Nature visits me it's not pretty) today was my day to get back on track! My favorite breakfast is a scoop of vanilla protein powder, coffee, tablespoon of butter and some stevia.
Sound gross? It tastes like a vanilla latte, however if you leave it in the magic bullet too long it gets super foamy and explodes. Too little? Gross little chunks of protein powder. I've gotten it almost down to a science but today it was too chunky and I couldn't even drink it. In addition to that my school is having a week long pd session and today it was horribly boring and completely in arabic. So add that to being hungry and it was just a lovely day all around. However my lunch of turkey and cheese baby carrots and cherry tomatoes was quite nice. Before you ask, yes tomatoes and carrots have carbs but it's really not that many. You have to decide how many carbs you're allotted a day ( I eat between 20-40) and then you can use those carbs however you see fit! Though if you're like me, a carb addict, I would stick to fruits and vegetables because anything else awakens the cravings. Tonight I'm trying two new recipes: cloud bread (for lunch tomorrow) and lchf pizza! I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Color Run
A little backstory: part of the Kayla Itsines program requires you to do three days of cardio and I had initially been running for those days. Well unfortunately, probably due to my form, everytime I run I experience excruciating pain in my hip. So a few weeks ago I decided I was over running until I could get back to the states and have someone figure out what I was doing wrong. Fast forward to today where I drank a red bull and ran most of a 5k. Soooo my hip is killing me but on the positive side I had SO MUCH FUN.

S.H.I.T
So happy it's Thursday! So in the UAE our weekend is Thursday and Friday. This was actually a fairly chill week at work thank goodness because I was having some health issues that made me go off the rails with my diet. Basically I was eating #allthecarbs. Learning how not to cheat when I'm stressed is obviously going to be the hardest part of this process but I won't let this deter me. My favorite part of Thursdays is hanging out at the Rotana (you can only get alcohol at hotels here) with a great group of people! This is me enjoying the sun in my new Prada sunglasses! And by enjoying the sun I mean sweating to death. It's too early in the year to be in the 90s, Geez!!
Keto brownies!!!
My coworkers husband brought me keto brownies and they were ddddeeeelllliiiccciiiooouuuussss. I have the recipe and I MUST learn to make my own. The hardest thing about the lchf diet (besides the fact that I love French fries) is that you have to cook a lot! One thing that has helped is making casseroles and bakes. I'll share my favorite recipe so far tomorrow!

These are a few of my favorite things....
#1 everyone needs a magic bullet. Seriously. You really need a magic bullet!!!! Ok if you don't believe me that's fine but my smoothie > your smoothie
#2 for breakfast I've been drinking a coffee butter/protein latte thing. I'm sure you've all heard of bulletproof coffee? Well you're supposed to get some fancy coffee, grass fed unsalted butter and some kind of oil or whatever. Well I don't do any of that shit and the thought of only having that until lunch seemed silly so I made regular Nescafé instant coffee threw in a tablespoon of butter, scoop of vanilla whey protein powder and a sprinkle of stevia and *magic bullet* khallas!!!! (That means finished here in the Middle East) It tastes AMAZING. I'm not one of those dieting girls who is going to bullshit you about how things taste. I'm a carb addict remember? Anyways adding the protein powder gives it some nutritional value which made it more acceptable to me than having just coffee for breakfast. Do it.
P.S. If you want to talk about how bulletproof coffee is better Blah blah blah just know that I don't care. I have only child syndrome which means I'm right and you're wrong :)
Low fat high carb.....ah!
Hi, my name is AJ and I'm a carb addict. There. I said it. And because of this and my polycystic ovarian syndrome and until recently my inability to roll off the couch I am very overweight. Every year I would set goals for my fitness and nutrition and every year I wouldn't meet those goals. Something about turning thirty made me realize that I couldn't put this off anymore. Losing weight doesn't get any easier when you get older. So I got off the couch, ordered Kayla itsines 12 week bikini body makeover, and began the high fat low carb diet. Because hell, I want to be thirty and fine! I want to be like Jennifer Lopez and wearing crop tops!!!! As a warning to everyone, once I reach my goal weight I will be dressing inappropriately for at least a month. Hopefully this is acceptable to everyone who has to look at me lol. Anyways this blog is a way to hold myself accountable and make sure I stay on track! And hopefully I'll make some other fitness minded friends who also have some good to share. I'm already twenty pounds down, only 55 more to go!!!
